Kodiak Gas Services names executive vice president and chief commercial officer

Former Piñon Midstream CEO to lead commercial strategy at contract compression firm

Kodiak Gas Services Inc. has appointed Steven L. Green as executive vice president and chief commercial officer, the company said in a statement. The move underscores Kodiak’s plans to accelerate growth and strengthen its commercial operations across the U.S. natural gas sector.

Green, who brings more than 20 years of experience in energy and midstream infrastructure, will lead the company’s enterprise-wide commercial strategy. His responsibilities will include customer engagement, contract structuring and business development, as well as contributing to long-term strategic planning.

“Steven’s deep industry experience and proven track record in scaling and monetizing midstream infrastructure platforms make him a valuable addition to our leadership team,” said Mickey McKee, president and CEO of Kodiak. “As we continue to execute our growth strategy, Steven’s leadership will be instrumental in expanding our commercial capabilities and enhancing our value proposition to customers.”

Prior to joining Kodiak, Green was chief executive officer of Piñon Midstream, where he oversaw the development of a sour gas treating system in the Delaware Basin. Under his leadership, Piñon secured anchor commitments from investment-grade producers and was sold to Enterprise Products Partners in a $950 million transaction.

Green previously held senior roles at Caiman Energy and Blue Racer Midstream, managing large-scale infrastructure including more than 700 miles of pipeline and 1.3 billion cubic feet per day of processing capacity. He also worked in technical and operational positions at Regency Energy Partners and Plains Gas Solutions.

“I am excited to join Kodiak at a time of tremendous opportunity,” Green said. “The company has a strong market position, a performance-driven culture and a clear strategy for disciplined growth. I look forward to working closely with the team to deepen customer relationships and deliver consistent returns for our shareholders.”
