INNIO Group, Detechtion Technologies unveil monitoring technology

Cloud-based platform for gas compression

Natural gas compressor operators and lease compression companies have a new monitoring and optimization technology at their disposal. SKIDIQ product suite is a cloud-based system developed in tandem by INNIO Group and Detechtion Technologies.

SKIDIQ combines INNIO’s analytics and Detechtion’s real-time compressor monitoring and optimization technology. The companies said operators can identify and resolve problems quickly, reducing operating expenses and downtime and maximizing throughput. It is anticipated that this type of digitalization will bring the energy sector significant value in terms of efficiency, productivity, and sustainability.

The move toward digitalization of compressor control and optimization is also expected to aid the move toward decarbonization across the compression industry. SKIDIQ combines compressor and engine analytics, giving operators a more well-rounded understanding of performance and where improvements are needed.

Launch of the SKIDIQ product suite represents a notable advance in the energy industry’s move toward decarbonization because it allows operators to remotely monitor, analyze, and optimize full compressor skids in real time.
