FW Murphy names director of sales and product strategy

FW Murphy has appointed Deepak Tummalapalli as director of sales and product strategy, strengthening the company’s leadership team with an executive experienced in power generation, energy transition and oil and gas markets.

Tummalapalli joins FW Murphy after a career with Caterpillar, where he held positions including application engineer, territory sales manager and senior corporate account manager with responsibilities spanning the United States and the United Arab Emirates.

In his new role, he will help lead the company’s sales initiatives while supporting product strategy across FW Murphy’s portfolio of engine instrumentation, controls, monitoring and automation solutions used in industrial engines, compressors and power generation equipment.

Tummalapalli holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Texas A&M University and a bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Anna University in India.

FW Murphy said it expects his experience in global energy markets and power generation applications to support the company’s continued growth and product development efforts.

Based in Rosenberg, Texas, FW Murphy manufactures instrumentation, control and monitoring systems for reciprocating engines, compressors and other equipment serving the oil and gas, power generation and industrial markets.
