Former Harsco Executives, Private Investors Buy Mattsco Supply

19 November 2019

A group of private investors, led by two former Harsco Industrial Air-X-Changers executives, have acquired Mattsco Supply Co., which provides pipes, valves and fittings for industrial and oilfield use. The group, led by Eric Clower and Randy Benson, will manage Mattsco Supply, with the Mattox family maintaining a minority share in the company.

Mattsco Supply, founded in 1975, has more than 98,000 sq.ft. (9104 m2) of warehouse space and 7 acres (2.8 ha) of pipe yard. The company is based in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

“We are very excited about this opportunity and appreciate the Mattox family for trusting us with their legacy,” Clower said.

Clower and Benson have more than 20 years of combined experience in the oil and gas industry. The pair spent the last 14 years working in leadership roles in two large manufacturing businesses. Clower formerly served as the vice president and general manager of Harsco Industrial Air-X-Changers, with Benson as the vice president of sales and marketing.

“We plan to build on the great reputation of Mattsco along with our experience to grow the company for years to come,” Benson said.
