Farabee joins Railroad Commission as government relations director

Former Texas Tech University System official will serve as liaison to state leaders and lawmakers

The Railroad Commission of Texas has named Worth Farabee as its new government relations director.

Farabee will serve as the commission’s liaison to state leadership and members of the Texas Legislature on policy matters affecting the agency, as well as constituent affairs.

The Railroad Commission is Texas’ primary regulator for oil and natural gas exploration and production, intrastate pipelines, natural gas utilities and other parts of the state’s energy infrastructure. The agency regulates drilling, production, field operations and pipeline activity across a state that accounts for a large share of U.S. oil and gas output.
