Ebara Elliott Energy to install high-speed balancing facility in Saudi Arabia

Expanding regional footprint

Ebara Elliott Energy (EEE) has signed a major purchase agreement for the installation of a High-Speed Balancing Bunker (HSB) in Saudi Arabia, expanding the company’s turbomachinery service capabilities and reinforcing its long-term commitment to the Middle East market.

The HSB, expected to begin operations in 2027, will be integrated into EEE’s compressor packaging and service operations in the Kingdom. The investment supports Saudi Arabia’s localization targets and positions EEE to better serve customers in oil and gas, refining, and petrochemical sectors across the region.

“This agreement reflects our long-term commitment to Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East,” said Gregory Bardet, EMA Regional Director of Global Service for Ebara Elliott Energy. Bardet attended the signing ceremony held in Abu Dhabi. “We’re investing in the infrastructure and partnerships needed to serve the region more effectively and sustainably.”

The new balancing bunker will allow EEE to deliver more comprehensive, end-to-end services for turbomachinery and pump systems without having to ship equipment out of the region. That includes testing and servicing of high-speed rotating components such as centrifugal compressors and steam turbines used in energy and industrial applications.

EEE, a division of Japan’s Ebara Corporation, has been expanding its global service footprint in recent years. The company operates 29 service and sales centers worldwide, including a growing presence in the Middle East. This latest project reflects ongoing efforts to localize manufacturing and servicing capabilities in high-growth markets.

Ebara Elliott Energy designs, manufactures, and services centrifugal and axial compressors, steam turbines, cryogenic products, and custom pumps for customers in the LNG, refining, petrochemical, and power generation industries. The company employs more than 3,600 people globally.
