ComAp, Motortech renew cooperation

Agreement comes after Motortech’s parent company acquired a ComAp competitor

ComAp, a provider of smart control solutions for power generation, and Motortech GmbH, a developer and manufacturer of ignition systems, air/fuel ratio control systems, and gas engine control systems, agreed to continue their cooperation with control solutions for stationary gas engines.

This agreement was made in light of the acquisition of one of ComAp’s competitors under Generac Holdings last year, to which Motortech also belongs. Generac acquired Deep Sea Electronics, an advanced controls designer and manufacturer.

UK-based Deep Sea Electronics provides a diverse suite of controller products for multiple applications including generators, automatic transfer switches, battery charging, and off-highway vehicles.

ComAp will supply Motortech with ComAp’s standard product offering, providing the same benefits to customers as they are used to (ComAp InteliSys Gas does accept existing All-In-One configuration = “All-In-One-Ready”), as of July 1.

“Motortech has always been our valued business partner in the gas engine market,” said Miroslav Dvorak, Product Line Manager for Advanced Products at ComAp. “Based on the recent market changes we are glad that we found a way to continue the relationship with Motortech GmbH under the new product supply contract. Motortech is becoming one of our important customers for ComAp standard products and we look forward to our cooperation.”

ComAp offers control solutions for gas engine gen-set applications in the range of 10 kW to 2 MW. Their controls are designed for packager and aftermarket requirements for operation and efficient utilization of heat, cold, and electrical power.
