Baker Hughes Nets 27 Compressor Train Order

Baker Hughes, a GE Company (BHGE), will supply Saudi Aramco with 27 gas compression trains to boost production in the Haradh and Hawiyah gas fields.

With the implementation of the US$175 million order, Saudi Aramco plans to double gas production in the region to 23 Bcfd (0.65 X 10⁹ m³) over the course of the next decade. This is consistent with Saudi Arabia’s goal of increasing the share of natural gas in the energy mix from 50 to 70%.

The 27 compressor trains, comprised of compressors, gearboxes, electric motors and loop oil systems, will be manufactured in Italy and packaged in Saudi Arabia.
