Premium Content

November 13, 2017

Samsung Heavy Industries in Korea has awarded Atlas Copco Gas and Process Division with a major order for the Carrier LNG marked in Asia. The order comprises four centrifugal compressors, four screw compressors and the necessary heaters and vaporizers.

The equipment will be deployed on two Kogas (Korea’s public natural gas company), small-scale LNG carrier vessels for the ships’ cargo handling systems. The vapor return compressors will control tank pressure during loading and the fuel-gas compressors will feed boil-off gas to the gas engine during operation.
