Jack bolt replacement, engine scavenger valve part of company’s lineup

The process is generally the same for Zahroof “Zee” Mohamed when it comes to developing a new product. It always starts with a problem. Once he sees it, his mind begins to work it through.

“It can be something very involved, such as the detailed design of the aero components of a centrifugal compressor, the integration of high-speed permanent magnet motors in machinery, the development of the modular reed valve technology or something simple as the jack bolt conversion or the valve protection mesh,” said Mohamed, president of Zahroof Valves. “I analyze the problem, figure out the root cause and then something comes to mind to make it better.”

Two different problems in the gas compression industry have produced Zahroof Valve’s two latest products – the conversion of the jack bolt restrained valve to Zahroof’s O-ring cage and cap StraightFlo valve and the engine scavenger valve. Both products are designed to provide a long-term valve product with improved equipment performance in the gas compression industry.
