TTS technicians helped commission a new booster station in Florida.

Engineers and technicians from TTS Midstream recently assisted the commissioning of a new gas  booster compressor station in North Florida.

TTS Midstream is now responsible for the operations and maintenance of the booster station and will install a remote monitoring system which will allow the owner and operator to monitor the plant remotely and maintain integrity during unmanned operations.

The plant consists of two high speed separable reciprocating compressors, each rated 1900 hp. They can be operated independently or in parallel. The plant is capable of moving 20 to 124 mmcf/d of gas. UECompression assembled the package using gas engines from Innio Waukesha and compressors from Ariel.

“The TTS Midstream team, working under a compressed schedule, utilized out-of-the-box thinking to safely achieve project objectives including startup and commissioning the main compression equipment and plant auxiliaries within the project constraints and regulatory compliance,” said Dave Fry, TTS Midstream commissioning manager.

TTS Midstream, a division of TTS Energy Services, offers a comprehensive portfolio of engineering and field services, with an emphasis on automation and controls, commissioning, operations and maintenance. TTS won the bid for the contract around Christmas and started the process around the first of the year.
