Siemens, Bentley Jointly Launch Maintenance Monitoring Product

20 October 2020

Siemens Energy and Bentley Systems have jointly created a new intelligent analytics product to help oil & gas operators monitor and enhance the performance of their equipment.

The product, known as Asset Performance Management for Oil & Gas (APM4O&G), supports maintenance activities across multiple assets, such as onshore compressor stations and gas processing plants, as well as offshore production platforms and floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessels.

The APM4O&G product combines Bentley’s asset performance software capabilities (AssetWise) with Siemens Energy’s technology and service expertise to improve maintenance operations and planning. The product provides condition-based strategies using predictive analytics. These analytics help operators set and optimize maintenance schedules in compressor stations and gas processing plants, which in turn extends asset life and reduces maintenance costs, Siemens Energy said.

For offshore applications, the product helps operators reduce logistics costs associated with unplanned maintenance activities. Operators can also make the best use of limited laydown and storage areas by holding spare stock based on risk-based maintenance strategies.
