12 September 2017

Beginning in Nov. 2017, the Central Pennsylvania Institute of Science and Technology (CPI) is offering a new, two-year degree designed to train students to become gas compression technicians. Students will graduate with a Natural Gas Compression: Associate of Specialized Technology degree with an emphasis on Cat and Ariel equipment. This degree is one of only two of its kind offered nationwide.

CPI is partnering with Cleveland Brothers Equipment Co., Inc., the largest Cat dealer in Pennsylvania, and Ariel Corporation.  Cleveland Brothers, Ariel and other gas industry partners will review student performance after they complete their first term. If pre-hired by the program’s industry partners, students will receive $7,500 per year ($15,000 total) in company-sponsored tuition reimbursement.

For more information, visit the program website here. There is additional information available at the Cleveland Brother’s website as well.
