Burckhardt Compressors expands into dual-fuel marine sector

Burckhardt Compression is further expanding its service expertise and, as the exclusive service provider for SHP pumps from SERO PumpSystems, will take over all service activities in the marine sector.

SERO PumpSystems, based in Meckesheim, Germany, is a technologically leading supplier of side channel pumps for a wide range of applications.

The SHP pumps are used on LPG tankers with dual-fuel engines. Burckhardt Compression has already established a corresponding service infrastructure for its gas compressors in the marine sector with a worldwide network of more than 300 field service staff and representatives in more than 80 countries. Burckhardt Compression said its marine team is therefore very familiar with the special requirements in this field.
