Burckhardt Compression and BW LNG signed a 10-year service agreement involving nine LNG carriers equipped with Laby-GI compressors.

The long-term service agreement covers scheduled maintenance of the compressors, as well as supervision, preventive maintenance using remote diagnostics, field services and fleet management.

The Burckhardt Compression fleet manager, in tandem with technical experts, will monitor the performance of the units and continuously optimize the maintenance cycles in line with the operational requirements of the crew.

Compressor maintenance will occur during vessel operations for maximum efficiency, Burckhardt Compression said. All nine LNG carriers are ME-GI powered and equipped with Laby-GI compressors for boil-off gas (BOG) management.
