Blackmer Debuts NGH100 Series Compressors

03 March 2017

Blackmer has introduced its NGH100 series of horizontal oil-free reciprocating gas compressors. The new compressors are designed for use in vapor recovery, wellhead transfer and artificial lift applications in the upstream oil and gas market.

The NGH100 compressors, which feature a non-lubricated design, are available in heavy duty single-stage (NGH1013) and two-stage (NGH1023) configurations. The compressors can also handle wet and dry gas, as well as sour gas that contains up to 8% dry hydrogen sulfide (H2S). To handle this flammable and hazardous byproduct, the NGH100 series incorporates steel wrist pins that ride on steel needle bearings for longer life under severe operating conditions.

The compressors also feature ductile iron construction with a balanced forged-steel crankshaft. The piston rings and rider bands are made of PTFE/PEEK. The compressors have flexible cylinder sizes for various flow rates, pressures and motor-speed capabilities up to 1800 rpm and flow rates up to 3000 cfd (85 m3/d) at maximum working pressures up to 1500 psig (103 bar).
