Galileo Technologies has named Jesús Grande as its new CEO, tapping a seasoned executive with deep experience in energy innovation to lead the company as it accelerates efforts to bring small-scale gas and biogas solutions to underserved markets worldwide.

Grande joins the Houston- and Buenos Aires-based company at a pivotal moment for the global energy sector. As nations struggle to meet climate targets and reduce dependence on higher-emission fuels like coal and oil, Galileo is betting that scalable, modular gas technology can serve as a key enabler of the energy transition—especially in regions lacking traditional infrastructure.

“The world is currently struggling to meet its net-zero targets, so a successful energy transition relies on innovation that breaks barriers,” said Grande. “Galileo has pioneered solutions that bring the benefits of natural gas and biogas even to the most remote regions. I believe in this vision because it’s a tangible, scalable path to a cleaner future.”

Galileo’s technologies provide solutions for the production, distribution, and consumption of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Renewable Natural Gas (RNG).

Galileo’s systems—designed in-house and engineered for rapid deployment—are compact, modular, and tailored for a wide range of geographies and applications. These technologies allow for the production, liquefaction, and transportation of natural gas and biogas without the need for pipelines, making clean energy viable for remote areas or regions where grid connections are unreliable or nonexistent.

Grande’s appointment signals Galileo’s intent to scale that impact. His track record includes leading global teams, executing cross-border growth strategies, and driving operational improvements in the oilfield services and energy infrastructure sectors. Now, he is tasked with expanding Galileo’s global reach while helping communities transition from legacy fuels to lower-carbon alternatives.

In Brazil’s Roraima state, for instance, Galileo has installed 40 Cryobox units that produce 500 tons of LNG per day—enough to displace heavy fuel oil and provide a reliable energy source to an area long cut off from pipeline infrastructure. The company’s “virtual pipeline” model uses cryogenic iso-tanks to transport natural gas over long distances, an approach now being deployed in other parts of Latin America and sub-Saharan Africa.

“Galileo’s solutions are clean, adaptable, and scalable,” said Grande. “That’s why I joined. The technology is proven, the impact is measurable, and the opportunity to expand access to affordable, lower-carbon energy has never been greater.”

Founded in Argentina and now dual-headquartered in Houston, Galileo Technologies operates in more than 70 countries and counts over 300 active customers. Its modular equipment offerings span from gas conditioning and compression to LNG and CNG fueling systems, all aimed at enabling decentralized gas development in both mature and emerging markets.

Under Grande’s leadership, the company plans to further integrate its systems into global energy transition strategies, supporting utilities, industrial users, and governments in replacing diesel, coal, and oil with cleaner-burning natural gas and renewable biogas.

“The stakes are high, and Galileo has the technology and the commitment to make a difference,” Grande added. “This is about bridging today’s energy needs with tomorrow’s low-carbon future.”
