Corbeil to lead engineering strategy and support turbomachinery innovation
Concepts NREC has appointed Antoine Corbeil as vice president of engineering, with responsibility for overseeing the company’s engineering strategy, guiding technical work across projects, and supporting the development of new turbomachinery solutions.
Corbeil has more than 20 years of experience in mechanical engineering and turbomachinery research and development. His background includes design work on gas turbines in both axial and radial configurations, as well as R&D on compact heat exchangers and Brayton-cycle renewable energy systems.
A graduate of the Royal Military College of Canada, Corbeil earned a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Ottawa. He spent more than five years as president of Brayton Energy Canada and has also worked with Ingersoll-Rand, Bombardier Aerospace, and Pratt & Whitney Canada in a variety of technical and leadership roles.

“Antoine has demonstrated a strong commitment to engineering excellence and customer satisfaction across his career,” said Sean McDermott, CEO of Concepts NREC. “His technical depth and leadership vision make him the ideal person to lead our engineering team.”
In his new role, Corbeil will manage a multidisciplinary team providing design, analysis, and testing services for applications in aerospace, renewable energy, space, and defense.
“I look forward to advancing our capabilities and collaborating with customers on the next generation of turbomachinery solutions,” Corbeil said.
