Service Compression Sells Three Texas Companies

Premium Content

November 08, 2019

Service Compression, a division of Metallenium LLC, has sold its three aftermarket service companies for an undisclosed amount. Those companies consist of the Pros Co. (Lubbock, Texas); Chrome Machine and Casting (Amarillo, Texas); and Washington Iron Works (Sherman, Texas).

MKBCCS LS Operating, who made the purchase, plans to continue operating the companies as received, which includes keeping all employees and retaining the same company names and locations.

Service Compression plans to focus on growing its natural gas compressor rental business. The Pros Co. debuted in August 2009, making its first major acquisition (Chrome Machine and Casting) in January 2015. Seven months later, the Pros Co. acquired Washington Iron Works, and then formed Metallenium as the holding company for all three companies. In May 2017, Metallenium merged with Service Compression out of Van Buren, Arkansas.

Kevin Bass and Mark Pigg, of Lubbock, Texas, formed MKBCCS LS Operating to purchase the three companies from Metallenium. Bass will serve as MKBCCS’ president and CEO, with Pigg handling a sales role.

“We are very excited to become the owners and operators of the Pros, Chrome Machine and Washington Iron Works,” the pair said. “We are going to continue the current business and use our friends and contacts to expand business to all the companies.”
