ARLA Maschinentechnik, Wipperfuerth, Germany, will be hosting its ninth international seminar at the Leonardo-Hotel in Cologne, Germany, Oct. 15 to 18, 2012. Covering rotordynamics and bearings technologies, subtopics for the seminar include lateral vibrations (stability analysis, shaft dynamics and response, modeling of bearings, considering unbalances), torsional vibrations (simulation of complete drivelines in rotating machinery), fluid-film bearings (journal, thrust, conical bearings; fixed and tilting pad geometries), and a workshop on software applications and discussing practical case studies.
