MAN Operating New Training Center

Oberhausen facility open to internal and customer personnel

MAN Diesel & Turbo has opened its PrimeServ Academy at Oberhausen to train internal and customer personnel on the operation of compressors, expanders, gas turbines and steam turbines that it makes at its Oberhausen, Zurich, Berlin and Changzhou plants.

The 10,765 sq.ft. (1000 m2) structure contains eight classrooms and a machinery hall. Two traveling cranes with a lifting capacity of 17.5 tons (16 tonnes) each to allow positioning of heavy equipment.

Six classrooms are dedicated to interactive training of groups of 12-15 students. Two large rooms can be combined to host up to 80 participants for presentations and general discussions. Two rooms have instruments and controls training hardware.
