Harsco Acquires Hammco Corp.

Hammco to be renamed Harsco Industrial Hammco

Harsco Corp., the parent Harsco Air-X-Changers, has acquired Hammco Corp., an Owasso, Oklahoma-based provider of process coolers for the natural gas and petrochemical processing industries. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Hammco will be renamed Harsco Industrial Hammco LLC. It will provide complementary products to Harsco Air-X-Changers, based at Catoosa, Oklahoma, which makes air-cooled heat exchangers for the compression and general gas industry.

Harsco President and CEO Patrick Decker said, “Hammco provides us with an excellent point of entry into the process cooler market and further strengthens our existing Air-X-Changers business.”

Founded in 1971 by the late Charles Helscel, Hammco makes high-specification air coolers for the natural gas and petrochemical processing market. It operates from a single plant in Owasso.
