APA to Boost Wallumbilla Hub Compression

APA Group, Australia’s largest natural gas infrastructure firm, plans to expand compression capacity and associated services at the Wallumbilla gas hub in Queensland over the next two years.
The hub is connected to all major gas pipelines near Wallumbilla, including APA’s Roma Brisbane Pipeline and the South West Queensland Pipeline, which APA acquired as part of the Hastings Diversified Utilities Fund purchase earlier this year.
APA said the Aus$200 million project will increase compression capacity at the hub and provide the option for further compression services in the future.
Design and procurement activities have begun. The compression and associated services will be available in early 2015.
