Ariel Marks Manufacturing Milestone

Ariel Corp., a manufacturer of reciprocating compressors, has shipped its 40,000th unit.
The compressor will be packaged by Dearing Compression of Youngstown, Ohio, which will pair it with a 5000 hp (3725 kW) variable frequency drive electric motor.
The package was commissioned by MarkWest Energy Partners, a provider of midstream services in the natural gas industry and processor of gas in the Marcellus Shale play of the northern Appalachian Basin. MarkWest will use the compressor for mid-stream gathering at its Majorsville processing facility at Dallas, West Virginia.
