Enogex, an Oklahoma City, Oklahoma-based midstream natural gas company, said software has helped it reduce the time spent designing gathering compression facilities by 85% and cycle time for all design projects by 25%.

Enogex attributed the improvements to Bentley Systems Inc.’s AutoPlant project design software and ProjectWise collaboration. Bentley recently recognized Enogex’s achievements at an awards ceremony in Amsterdam.

The midstream company and its subsidiaries own and operate more than 8700 miles (14,000 km) of gathering and transportation pipelines, nine processing plants and 24 Bcf (680 x 106 m3) of gas storage capacity in Oklahoma and Texas.

It has dedicated production from more than 2 million acres (80,000 sq km), primarily in the Granite Wash, Cleveland Sands, Tonkawa, and Cana Woodford plays. Enogex is a subsidiary of OGE Energy Corp. Affiliates of ArcLight Capital Partners LLC hold minority interests.
