Exterran Boosts Compression Use in Third Quarter

Exterran has reported that its operating compression capabilty increased 33,000 hp (24.6 MW) in the third quarter.
“Our growth strategies are enhanced by attractive investment opportunities in liquids rich and shale plays and encouraging long-term natural gas market trends in the United States,” said managing partner Brad Childers, who also is the chairman, president and CEO of Exterran Holdings.
Exterran Partners had revenues of US$99 million and net income of US$10 million for the third quarter, compared to US$97 million and a loss of US$19 million for the second quarter, and US$84 million and US$3 million for the third quarter of 2011.
Exterran Holdings revenues were US$718 million and net income was US$113 million in the third quarter, compared to US$630 million with a loss of US$152 million and, for the second quarter, US$689 million with a loss of US$216 million last year.
The company’s fabrication backlog was US$1.24 billion at the end of September, compared to US$1.28 billion at the end of June and US$600 million at the end of September 2011. Fabrication bookings were US$314 million for the third quarter, compared to US$598 million for the second quarter and US$196 million for the third quarter of last year.
