Flowserve Recycle Pumps Part Of DuPont Process

Wednesday, September 12, 2012

Flowserve Corp. received an order for newly developed, custom-engineered, critical service reactor recycle pumps to be used in the new DuPont IsoTherming process.

DuPont IsoTherming Hydroprocessing technology gives petroleum refiners the means to produce ultra-low-sulfur transportation fuels. The Flowserve pumps are designed to operate at the high pressures and temperatures required in the DuPont IsoTherming process, while also maximizing online availability and providing high-mean time between repairs, Flowserve said. The design of the pumps is based on the Flowserve model PR reactor recycle pump, which is used worldwide in various residuum oil upgrading processes.

In addition to the pumps, the order includes the Flowserve Online Assurance Monitoring system, which enables the end user to monitor the pump’s health and operating conditions in real time. Using web-based tools, the Online Assurance Monitoring system is also designed to allow Flowserve technical experts to continually monitor the pump and assist with remote and on-site maintenance.
