Thursday, September 06, 2012

Valerus announced that Valerus Mexico has become its third facility to receive ISO 9001:2008 certification for its quality management systems. The certification positions the company to continue its growth in Latin America, where some operators now require certification. Valerus also received ISO 9001 certification for its Bay City, Texas, U.S.A. and Bogota, Colombia, South America, facilities in 2011.

Valerus has worked in Mexico since 2004, installing and operating more than 150,000 hp (111,855 kW) of compression facilities in addition to providing production equipment, processing and treating and operations and maintenance services in the country.

The scope of the certification covers the supply, operation and maintenance of equipment used by the oil and gas industry and certifies that core processes have been implemented, including design assurance, supply chain, fabrication, assembly and shipping, supported by management processes, systems, human resources, lean, HSE and maintenance, the company said.
