Dresser-Rand's Datum ICS Compressor An Award Nominee

Dresser-Rand said its Datum ICS compressor has been nominated for an innovation award at the Offshore Northern Seas Conference and Exhibition, which begins August 28 in Stavanger, Norway.
The company said the Datum ICS is the only compressor to use centrifugal separator technology that permits simultaneous separation of liquids from a gas stream and compression of the dry saturated gas in a compact, single-lift package.
The unit, which is smaller and costs less than the original Datum compressor, features centrifugal separation technology, a high-speed, close-coupled, gas-cooled motor, dedicated unit controls, process coolers, valves, instrumentation and interconnecting piping.
The company said the Datum ICS is designed for a variety of onshore, offshore and subsea applications, but its smaller footprint makes it suitable for offshore platforms and sub-sea modules.
