Atlas Copco Opens New Houston Facility

Atlas Copco Compressors Product Co. has opened a 96,000 sq.ft. (9000 m2) production facility in Houston, Texas, U.S.A., to serve North and South American customers with a range of standard and customized air compressors, dryers and skid packages.
The building combines all sales, service and manufacturing functions under one roof to provide streamlined service and offer customers up-to-the minute information throughout the production process.
Atlas Copco has more than 150 employees at the center, including 55 jobs that are new to the Houston area. It plans to fill 15 or more positions as capacity increases.
The facility houses four business units: Atlas Copco Systems Houston, which makes standard and customized compressor skid packages; Greenfield Compression, which produces high-pressure compressor packages; the production of standard and customized air dyers and air treatment products; and the company’s Southern Region customer center.
