Atlas Copco Gas and Process has received US$10 million order for cryogenic submerged motor pumps, which will be installed at the Dunkerque (France) Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Terminal.
UTE TS LNG Dunkerque of Milan, Italy and Madrid, Spain, placed the order, which calls for 13 low-pressure and 10 high-pressure third generation pumps. UTE TS LNG Dunkerque is a consortium comprised of the companies Sener and Techint Engineering and Construction.
The new Dunkerque LNG Regasification plant will convert LNG to 13 BCMA of natural gas. Electricité d’ France is developing the terminal in partnership with Fluxys of Belgium and Total. The terminal is expected to serve as a key gas supply point for northwestern Europe, according to Atlas Copco.
The pumps, which are scheduled for delivery in the second quarter of 2013, will be manufactured by the Atlas Copco JC Carter Pumps branch office located in Costa Mesa, California, U.S.A.
