Chromalloy renews 10-year agreement with as preferred supplier

Chromalloy has renewed a 10-year agreement with Solar Turbines Inc. to provide component repairs and new production support for the manufacturer’s power systems in the oil, natural gas and power generation industries.

Under the agreement, Chromalloy will be the preferred supplier for a number of component repairs including turbine blades, nozzles and cases.

Chromalloy is a supplier of repairs, coatings, investment castings and services for turbine airfoils and other critical engine components, serving engine manufacturers and operators in the energy industry, among others, the company said.

USA Compression Partners LP, Austin, said its fleet horsepower has increased 38.9% to 1.3 million hp (1000 MW), compared to the same period last year, aided in part by its acquisition of 138,000 hp (103 MW) from S&R Compression in August 2013.
