CDM Passes 1.2 Million Hp Mark

Most of growth occurred in Permian Basin

Published:

CDM Resource Management LLC’s contract compression fleet passed the 1 million hp (745 MW) level late last year and since has grown to 1.2 million hp (895 MW).

For more than 16 years, CDM has provided contract compression services to producers in major shale plays and offshore areas with a Caterpillar gas engine/Ariel compressor packaged fleet ranging from 50 hp (37 kw) to 4775 hp (3561 kw).

Much of the recent growth has been in the rapidly developing Permian Basin, where CDM’s contracted fleet has increased more than 165,000 hp (123 MW) in the past two years. The company anticipates a similar growth rate in 2014 based on forecasts of customer compression needs in the area.

Houston-based CDM gives its customers a 98% runtime guarantee. It also ensures that customers are provided equipment that is sized right for the facility and optimized for production and fuel efficient operation.
