John Shafer Elected to INGAA Foundation Executive Committee

John H. Shafer, Director of Energy Services for ENSR International, was elected to the Executive Committee of the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America (INGAA) Foundation. Formed in 1990, the INGAA Foundation mission is to advance the use of natural gas for the benefit of the environment and the consuming public, and ensure safe and efficient pipeline construction and operation.

Shafer, who has over 30 years of private and public sector environmental health and safety and sustainable development experience, is serving a two year term with INGAA. Working extensively with the energy industry, Shafer has received several national awards for environmental leadership. As Assistant Director of Environmental Policy for the White House, Shafer created the President's Council on Sustainable Development.

As Director of Energy Services with ENSR, Shafer works with industry and government clients worldwide on projects such as sustainability reporting, environmental and economic impact analysis, and program development to improve business performance and enhance corporate responsibility.

The INGAA Foundation is open to all natural gas pipelines companies and suppliers including environmental, engineering, and construction firms, pipe and compressor manufacturers, accounting and technology companies and other suppliers.
