HHP Summit Organizers Looking For Abstracts

Organizers of the High Horsepower (HHP) Summit are accepting abstracts and agenda ideas for the 2014 event, which will be held Oct. 7-9 in New Orleans.

Areas of focus for this conference include end-user success stories and economic data for commercial and near-commercial projects. Speaking opportunities include the following topics: product development; fueling and infrastructure; financing and investment perspectives; and case studies.

For consideration, submit a 1- to 2-page abstract to HHP Summit organizers at abstracts@hhpsummit.com not later than July 2. Submissions should also include: title of suggested presentation; three-sentence summary; identification of technology and/or fuel focus; presenter name, title and organization; target audience; and technology status (commercial or in development).

Alaskan Pipeline-LNG Project Seeks Permits

Sponsors of the Alaska LNG Project have filed asked the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to begin the permitting process for construction of an 800-mile (1300 km) gas pipeline from Prudhoe Bay field to a planned liquefaction plant at Nikiski on the Kenai Peninsula.
